(OnlineEd) – Mortgage Loan Originators (“MLOs”) doing business in the current market are tasked with creating a business based on sound, ethical practices that are in compliance with federal regulations and fair housing laws. At the same time, they must be knowledgeable about the many programs available for their clients. The OnlineEd® 8-hour NMLS approved continuing education course will familiarize the MLO with fair lending practices and the federal regulation requirements of RESPA, TILA, MDIA, ECOA, the Fair Housing Act, the Can-Spam Act, and the E-Sign Act.
In addition to providing a comprehensive introduction to the multitude of regulations affecting the mortgage industry, the 8-hour SAFE Act NMLS approved Comprehensive Course also offers an overview of specialty programs such as FHA’s 203 (k) Rehab Loan, Energy Efficient Mortgage, and Good Neighbor Next Door program.
