Prefabricated House

by | Feb 6, 2026

In real estate and construction, a prefabricated house is a dwelling that is manufactured in whole or in part at a factory before being transported to the building site. Some components may be partially assembled prior to delivery, with final construction completed on site.

Prefabricated houses are designed to improve efficiency, reduce construction time, and enhance quality control. Once completed, they are typically placed on permanent foundations and are subject to the same building codes and zoning regulations as site built homes.
