Grantee

by | Feb 4, 2026

In real estate, a Grantee is the person or entity to whom real property or property rights are conveyed. The grantee is typically the buyer in a real estate transaction and receives title through a deed.

The grantee’s rights are defined by the type of deed used and any conditions, restrictions, or encumbrances affecting the property. Once the deed is properly executed and delivered, the grantee becomes the legal owner of the interest conveyed.
